DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN POSTSECONARY CONTEST!!!  Location: Davis Tech (DTC) 550 East 300 South Kaysville, Utah.  Location & Contest Contact: Chef Penny, penny.molene@davistech.edu. 

Pre-Contest Meeting – 3/26/20 at 7:00 am sharp.  Recommend that you are on campus by 6:45 am. at Davis Technical College.
Contest will begin at 7:30 am on 3/26/20 at the Davis Technical College.

Commercial-Baking POST- Secondary
NEW LOCATION!! UVU Culinary Arts Institute, 661 East Timpanogos Parkway Building L, Orem, Utah 84097. Contest Contact Chef Diana, fallisdi@uvu.edu

Pre-Contest Meeting – 3/26/20 at 7:30 am sharp & drawing for stations.  Recommend that you are on campus by 7:15 am. At the UVU Culinary Arts Institute. Each contestant will need to bring all their own tools on the list, with the exception of sheet pans that will be provided by UVU.  This includes delis for measuring as there is a new section about having labels that they might want to do in advance.  
-          Contest will begin at 8:00 am on 3/26/20 at the UVU Culinary Arts Institute.  Competition should conclude at approx. 2:00 pm. There will be a mandatory break (lunch will be provided); 2:00-3:30 clean-up and critique from the judges.
-          Each contestant will need to bring all their own tools on the list, with the exception of sheet pans that will be provided by UVU.  This includes delis for measuring as there is a new section about having labels that they might want to do in advance.  

BOTH Secondary & Post-Secondary Contestants will prepare a total of six products: 5 baked goods made from scratch and/or from fresh or frozen dough, and one iced and decorated cake.  

Honey Orange Whole Wheat Bread (This item will be the tie-breaker if needed), Puff Pastry, Pate a Choux, Decorated Occasion Cake, Apple Galette, Crème Patissiere (NO Chocolate Chip Cookie or Jalapeno Cheddar and Pepper Corn Muffin)

REMINDER:
As a reminder and to be consistent with the other culinary related contests –
We ask that each school provides prizes for each placement (post-secondary 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and secondary 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).  We will be putting all of these prizes together for the winners.
